Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law


Annette Knox is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Law, certified by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization since 2007.  She has concentrated her law practice in the areas of estate and tax planning, trust administration, and estate and probate administration, since 1995.

Estate Planning:  Ms. Knox represents individuals and families who need expert advice in tax-sensitive planning for wealth transfer during life and at death, planning for the care of their children in the event of death, and planning for incapacity.  Each family has different needs, issues and relationships.  Ms. Knox tailors her advice and documents to that family's needs.  She is very easy to work with, listens carefully to what her clients need and want, and explores with them their options to put into place a plan that works for the client and his/her family.

Trust and Probate Administration.  Ms. Knox also advises trustees in administering trusts, works with beneficiaries who need representation during a trust administration or a probate administration after a death, and represents executors or personal representatives in administering probates. 

Background and Memberships:  Ms. Knox earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with honors from the University of California, Berkeley in 1988 and obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1995. 

She is a member of the California State Bar, the American Bar Association, the Contra Costa County Bar Association, and the Alameda County Bar Association. 

She is a member, and past President, of the Diablo Valley Estate Planning Council. 

She is a member of Kiwanis Club of Moraga, and the Fund Development Committee for the National Center for Youth Law, Oakland.
